This event was sponsored jointly by the Clements Leadership Institute and Ohio DRC and is being offered free of charge to the public.

One of the best parts about this event was the conversation being had in the chat - here are some of the things our participants had to say

"I spent 9 months in this unit, and it was a life-altering privilege.

It was an opportunity for me to operate with a level of responsibility on a daily basis while learning healthy habits and life skills."

"I don't think the staff truly realizes the importance they play not only in normalcy but also in the men's everyday lives.

They are helping to lead by example and teaching these guys about everyday normal interactions that may seem ordinary to us, but for men who have been locked up for a long time, many have never had or have forgotten some of those skills."

" I can say from a family standpoint, this unit is life changing for us, even on the outside."

"This unit has changed a loved one in there now.

He has taken bad news and found the positive out of it.
He has grown into a very positive person.

He has taught me a lot of things that he has gained being in this unit."

"Matt, Scott,
Warren, Sgt. F.,
Justin, Nancy,
and Jake
are all fantastic humans.

They ALL truly believe in this program and pour themselves into it."

"Last year on the family day, seeing the inside of the unit and their rooms, how they live and the pride they take in their lives and surroundings in there, was very impactful."
